Sandra Jeanne Evans, age 74, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, August 9 2019. Sandra was born on August 18, 1944, in Hereford, Texas, to Lawrence M. and Jean Ardelle Watts (Hasley). She attended Edison High School, and later Nursing School, but worked most of her life in business office management, bookkeeping/accounting and tax preparation.
Sandra loved a good talk with family or with a friend, and would often go to dinner to talk. She also loved a good movie, book, or crossword puzzle. Her team was the OKC Thunder and she greatly enjoyed cheering them on. In her earlier years, she liked to get together to play cards or board games, and going to watch her grandkids sporting events, and even earlier than that, she loved travelling, playing and coaching rec softball, skiing, camping, and boating.
She is survived by: her children, Sharissa Lambert, of Tulsa, Leslie Peterson and husband Greg, of Tulsa, and Eddie Hicks, of Tulsa; grandchildren, Richard Lambert and Chance, of Jenks, Hunter Sidorakis and Nick, of Tulsa, Shadow Lambert and Talen Beaver, of Bixby, Hank Peterson and Kaycee McCaleb, of Tulsa, Eddie Hicks Jr., of Owasso, Harper Peterson, of Tulsa, Carter Hicks, of Washington State, Hutch Peterson and Kaylin Taylor, of Oklahoma City; great- grandchildren, Raleigh Beaver, Charlie Sidorakis, Reed Lambert, Campbell Sidorakis and from the DJ Hicks Family - James, Izayah, Jadynn, Deja, Payton, Lillian, and Grayson; siblings, Larry Watts, of Tulsa, and Ginger and Gary Pond, of Tulsa; nephew, Michael Pond, of Tulsa; great niece, Anjelle Pond, of Tulsa; her best friend and partner, Norman Donaldson, of Tulsa; and her beloved pet, Gracie.
Sandra is preceded in death by: her parents, Lawrence and Jean; a son, DJ Hicks; and a great-grandchild, Rylan.
A celebration of life will be held on what would have been Sandra's 75th birthday, Sunday, August 18, 2019, at Leslie and Greg's home, in Bixby, a come and go event from 4:00 - 7:00 PM. A grave side service will be held the next morning, Monday, August 19, 2019, at 10:00 AM, at Memorial Park Cemetery, in Tulsa.
Cremation and burial are under the care and direction of Schaudt's Tulsa Funeral Service.
