Sadie Syvilla Ahlemeier

Sadie Syvilla (Strickland) Ahlemeier age 91 passed away at Saint Francis Hospital South on Monday, October 10, 2011. Sadie was born October 4, 1920 in Holly, Colorado to Richard Strickland and Nancy (Roper) Strickland. She graduated from Dodge City High School. She married the love of her life - Oscar Martin Ahlemeier in Tefft, Indiana. Sadie enjoyed crocheting and was known for making "dish scrubbies" and was also known for her love of "chocolate". Sadie was preceded in death by her parents: Richard and Nancy Strickland, her three brothers, four sisters, her son, Dale and her husband, Oscar who passed away in 1982. She is survived by her son Jon Ahlemeier and his wife, Angel of Glenpool, her daughter Carol Doppenberg and her husband, Calvin of Glenpool, her daughter Nancy Faith and her husband, Marvin of Michigan City, Indiana, her brother John Strickland and his wife, Esta of Houston, Texas, her sisters Lucy Lorraine Carson and her husband, Dick of Prescott, Arizona, Anndora Snell of Garden City, Kansas, fifteen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
