Ruth Laverne Endres

Ruth Laverne Endres, a resident of Preston, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at the age of 83. She was born May 19, 1930 to Everett and Molly (Lane) Snelson in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Okmulgee. She was preceded in death by her husband, L.D. Endres in 1994; her parents, Everett and Molly Snelson; brother, Elmer Snelson and sister, Gladys Hudson. Survivors include her four children, Dorothy McCaslin and husband, Bob of Preston; Linda Vaughn and husband, Larry of Preston; David Endres and wife, Georgeana of Okmulgee and Mike Endres and fiancé, Lisa of Morris; two sisters, Alta Mae Hollaway and husband, Ray of Preston and Barbara McNabb and husband, Pete of Alabama; one brother, Robert Snelson of Beggs; thirteen grandchildren; thirty-nine great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 13, 2014 at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel in Okmulgee with Reverend Tom Tidwell officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Westlawn Cemetery in Henryetta under the direction of the Jackson Funeral Home and Crematory in Okmulgee. Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Jackson Funeral Home in Okmulgee. Pallbearers will be Eugene Endres, Ethan Endres, Jonathan Endres, Leon Endres, Andrew Alton and Mike Endres. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joe McCaslin and Kevin Endres.
