Ruth Irene Salisbury

Ruth Irene (Stanton) Salisbury passed away January 17, 2008 at SouthCrest Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 78 years.
Mrs. Salisbury was born December 1, 1929 in Le Roy, Michigan to Ernest Gordon Stanton and Ada B. (Welch) Stanton. On August 21, 1955 she married John Leroy Salisbury. Ruth moved to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma in 2002 coming from Lancaster, California. She worked as a registered nurse for thirty-seven years before retiring. Ruth was a member of Light of the World Christian Fellowship Church. Mrs. Salisbury attended Owasso Bible College in Owasso, Michigan and has a Bachelors degree in Nursing. Ruth enjoyed caring for others; doing church work and spending time with her family members.
Ruth was preceded in death by both her parents along with her husband, John Salisbury, who passed away in 2005 and two daughters: Evangeline Ruth Messervier and Johnette Lee Wallace .
She is survived by her children: Philip John Salisbury, Donald Lynn Salisbury, Christine Palma and Rebecca Lundsford.
Services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service Chapel. Reverend Greg Bilbruck and Philip Salisbury will officiate.
Interment will be at Fort Gibson National Cemetery, Fort Gibson, Oklahoma.
