Russell Steven Randell

Russell Steven Randell passed from this life on June 9, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK after a short illness.

Russell was born in Omaha, Nebraska on June 10, 1958. The family moved to Blackwell, Oklahoma where he attended grade school. In 1969 the family moved to Stillwater, where he attended CE Donart High School, class of 1976. Russell was a long time employee of Lambert Construction Company in Stillwater, supervising several projects including the reconstruction of OSU Student Union, Stillwater National Bank on Sangre Road, and the Presbyterian Church in Perry.

Russell loved animals, gardening, nature, reading and travel. Many will remember him for his quick wit, great sense of humor, and kind nature.

While growing up he and his father built a canoe that Russell loved to use for fishing. After high school Russell lived and worked in Berchtesgarden, Germany and in Mexico. He spoke both German and Spanish. He and his sons enjoyed sharing both domestic and international travel adventures.

Russell was preceded in death by his wife Marta Schneider. He is survived by his parents, Hallard and Patt Randell, longtime residents of Stillwater, and recently of Broken Arrow, OK, his three sons Jason Randell and Blake Randell of Denver, Colorado and Carter Randell of Stillwater. He is also survived by three sisters and their spouses, Rebecca and Paul Moore, Melanie Brinton, and Gayle and Steve Perkins, all of Broken Arrow, and seven nephews and one niece, all residing in the Tulsa area. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
