Ruby Marie Smith

Ruby €œMarie€ Smith age 77 passed away Monday, September 4, 2006 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Smith was born February 19, 1929 in Oak Hill, Oklahoma to Thomas T. Foshee and Pearl (Beckham) Foshee. She attended Gray High School in Idabel, Oklahoma. When Marie was 12 years old she was saved and baptized. Mrs. Smith met her husband, Ray Smith, and they were united in marriage in 1957. She and her family moved to the Jenks area coming from Durant, Oklahoma 34 years ago. Before retirement, Mrs. Smith worked as a laundry attendant for D C Laundry in Jenks, Oklahoma.
Marie loved garage sales and flowers. She got great pleasure spending time with her grandchildren and family members. Ruby Marie Smith will be remembered as a €œpeople€ person. She was the most loving and unselfish person to all that knew her.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents: Thomas and Pearl Foshee; step-son: Billy Ray Smith; her brother: Chester Foshee; her granddaughter: Stephanie Kay Sargent and her husband: Ray Smith, who passed away May 14, 2006.
She is survived by three sons: Bill Sargent and his wife, Betty of Broken Bow; Roger Shrouder and his wife, Gail of Broken Bow; Buddy Smith and his wife, Vivian of Tulsa; two daughters: Karen S. Jones and her husband, Ed of Jenks; Pat Lamon and her husband, Toby of Tulsa; three brothers: Phil Foshee and his wife, Pat of Broken Arrow; Kenneth Foshee and his wife, Goldie of Broken Bow; Bobby Foshee and his wife, Frankie of Broken Bow; one sister: Maxine Elliott and her husband, Mack of Broken Bow; twenty-one grandchildren; thirty-six great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 7, 2006 at the Bethel Baptist Church, Jenks, Oklahoma. Reverend Troy Hayes will officiate.
