Roy Gahr

Roy David Gahr, Jr., a resident of Okmulgee, passed away Monday, September 16, 2013 at the age of 76. He was born October 19, 1936 to Roy D. Gahr, Sr. and Ollie (Locke) Gahr in Kansas City, Missouri. Roy retired from the United States Army where he served in the Vietnam War. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 1189 Okmulgee. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Ollie Gahr and one sister. Survivors include his loving wife, Lucille Gahr of the home; son, Roy David Gahr, III; daughter, Becky McCully; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at the Okmulgee Cemetery with Reverend Bill Fuller officiating.
