Roy Eugene Mason

Roy Eugene Mason was born October 11, 1949 in Cushing OK to Dale and Bettie Mason. He grew up in Stillwater graduating from C.E. Donart H.S in 1967. He attended Oklahoma State University where he met his wife Kay. They just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on March 27, 2021.

Roy worked for many years at Oklahoma State University and eventually retired from the Payne County Sheriffs Department. He was most proud of his job of being a PaPa and teaching Grandsons to fish. Anyone who knew Roy knew he loved to fish and kept a busy social schedule with daily coffee meetings, breakfast clubs and his afternoon shop talk crew. He was a friend to all and will be deeply missed.

Roy is preceded in Death by his father Dale Mason. He is survived by his wife Kay, daughter Angie Mason Wiruth and sons Cameron and Carson Wiruth of Tulsa OK, mother Bettie Mason Addison of Stillwater OK, sister Twila Jessen and husband John of Stillwater OK along with many nieces, nephews and friends.


Friends are invited to gather with the Family at Roy and Kay's home on Saturday April 10th 2021 from 2:00-4:00pm for a celebration of Roy's life.
