Rose Marie Smith

Rose Marie (LeBlanc) Smith age 84 passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2013 at Clarehouse in Tulsa surrounded by her loving family members. Rose was born March 31, 1929 in Wharton, Texas to Belizaire LeBlanc and Ida (Bonin) Charpentier. Rose has lived in Oklahoma for sixty years coming from New Iberia, Louisiana. She married Loyd Winfred Smith in Snyder, Texas (May 2, 1953). This year they celebrated their 60th anniversary. Rose enjoyed being a homemaker. She raised three children, helped raise ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Rose was of Catholic Faith and was a member of Saint Catherine Church in Tulsa. Rose was preceded in death by her parents and her two brothers, Jesse and Henry La Blanc of New Iberia, Louisiana. She is survived by her husband, Loyd Smith of Tulsa, her son, Kelly Legnon and his wife, Kathey of Tulsa, her son, Mark Smith and his wife, Jennifer of New Iberia, Louisiana, her daughter, Debbie Stinson and her husband, Scott of Tulsa, her brother, Mark Charpentier and his wife, Sue of New Iberia, her brother, Henry Charpentier and his wife, Tina of New Iberia, her seven grandchildren: Lacey (Legnon) Cline and her husband, Rodney of Jenks, Korey Legnon and his wife, Jodi of Tulsa, Tiffany (Stinson) Long and her husband, Brad of Broken Arrow, Keenen (Smith) Mushrush and her husband, Scotty of Sand Springs, Jordan Smith and his wife, Ashley of Tulsa, Micah Smith, Noah Stinson, Sarah Johnathon and Nick Sabala of New Iberia, Louisiana, her seven great grandchildren: Auston and Garrison Cline of Jenks, Kade and Karter Legnon of Tulsa, Scout Mushrush of Sand Springs, and Stormi Stinson and Ella Smith of Tulsa along with numerous other relatives, acquaintances and friends. Pallbearers are Kelly Legnon, Korey Legnon, Roy Charpentier, Mark Charpentier, Fred Oxford, David Smith, Mark Smith and Jordan Smith. Visitation is Friday, September 20, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Schaudt's Funeral Home Chapel, Glenpool, Oklahoma. A Rosary will be 7:00 p.m. at Saint Catherine Church, 4532 S. 25th W. Avenue, Tulsa, Oklahoma. A Mass of Christian Burial is 10:00 Saturday, September 21, 2013 at Saint Catherine Church, 4532 South 25th West Avenue, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74107. Reverend J. Richard Bradley and Reverend Matthew J. Gerlach will officiate. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Arrangements were entrusted to Daniel C.
