Rose Marie Jeffers was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, February 14, 2011 at her home in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Rose was born November 9, 1928 in Richmond, Virginia to Ernest and Beatrice Steinmann. She graduated from Richmond's John Marshall High School in January, 1946. On August 16, 1946, Rose married W. T. Jeffers of Columbia, South Carolina. She first met W.T. in1945 while she was a junior in high school. She remembered meeting him after watching him play a piano solo at her church where she was a member of the choir. The following week, he asked her out. A year later, they were married. In the early years of their marriage, W.T. pastored churches in Virginia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Oklahoma. Rose served as pianist or organist in all of the churches he pastored. W.T and Rose were co-founders of World Changers, Inc. in 1960 and Discoveryland! USA in 1976. She enjoyed working in these organizations with W.T. and members of her family for over 45 years. Although Rose and W.T. had six children of their own, they also cared for 35 other children from time to time in their home. Rose's favorite pastimes were caring and cooking for her family, and especially spending time with 'Dub' whom she loved dearly. Rose was preceded in death by her father Ernest Steinmann; mother Beatrice Johnson and stepfather Dennis Johnson, all of Richmond, Virginia. Rose is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, William T. Jeffers of Sand Springs; son Bill Jeffers and his late wife Kaye of Jenks; son Duane Jeffers and wife Lisa of Sapulpa; daughter Rosemary Beckham of Jenks; daughter Carolina Nielsen of Grove, OK; son Paul Jeffers of Tulsa, son Steve Jeffers of Tulsa; stepmother Ruth Steinmann of Richmond, Virginia; two sisters Carole Shepherd and Sonya Blommel Boudivant of Richmond, Virginia; two brothers Roy Steinmann and the late James Steinmann of Richmond, Virginia. Fourteen grandchildren: Kristi Busatti and husband David of Hutchinson, KS; Melanie Cummisky and huband Butch of Tulsa; Jennifer Kaiser and husband Chris of Bixby; Amber Niemann and husband Andy of Tulsa; Amy Brown and husband Greg of Jenks; Trey Jeffers and wife Kyla of Jenks; Beau Beckham of Tulsa; Julie Coombs and husband Adam of San Diego, CA; Jason Jeffers and wife Jessica of Escondido, CA; Jonathan Jeffers of Los Angeles, CA; Victoria Nielsen of Grove; Tim Nielsen of Grove; Ashley Jeffers of Sapulpa; Carter Jeffers of Sapulpa. Twelve great grandchildren: Quinn Cummisky, Jasmine Beckham, Christian Kaiser, Calvin Cummisky, Lilly Kaye Busatti, Jordan Brown, Colton Kaiser, Camden Busatti, Brylie Jeffers, Cade Kaiser, Beck Niemann and Kayde Grace Kaiser.
