Ronnie Edward Norris passed away after fighting a long and hard battle with Parkinson’s at the age of 77 on March 3, 2018 in Tulsa, Oklahoma with his loving family by his side. Ronnie was born on March 30, 1940 to the parents of Faye Scoggins (White) and Charles Norris in Curtis, Arkansas.
Ronnie graduated from Magnet Cove High School in Malvern Arkansas. Upon graduating high school he went on to attend Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, AR where he met the love of his life Kathleen Norris (Elliott). They got married on August 20, 1961 in Sweet Home, AR and have spent 56 years of marriage since.
Ronnie was a one of a kind man. No one ever felt like a stranger around him especially his fellow co-workers and clients at work. He built a great deal of relationships with them and loved every minute of it. Ronnie’s children and grandchildren were his pride and joy; any chance he got to brag about them and tell you all the good things about them he would. He loved watching his grandsons on the basketball court and his granddaughters cheering. Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings you could find him on the golf course at Fremont Hills Country Club in Nixa, Missouri. Ronnie shared a loved for cars with his “bro” Terry; they loved to work and fix them up together. Anytime someone had car problems and needed help Ronnie was there.
Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents, Faye Scoggins (White) and Charles Norris; and stepfather, Brown Scoggins.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen Norris; children, Rhonda Lyons, husband Dennis, Scott Norris, wife Wendy; brother Terry, wife Susan; nephew Blake, wife Catherine; 5 grandchildren, Natalie and Grace Lyons, Zach, Caleb and Braden Norris; his loving Silky Terrier Missy and many friends that will greatly miss him.
