Ronald Lee "Pops" Carpenter, age 72 passed away Sunday, April 17, 2016 at his Glenpool residence surrounded by his loving family members.
Ron was born in Wichita, Kansas on February 27, 1944 to Wayne Carpenter and Betty (Collier) Carpenter. He served his country in the United States Army. Ron, also known as "Pops", worked in the fuel industry as a truck driver.

Pops liked to take care of his babies "aka - his dogs". He enjoyed watching his granddaughter, Kodie, play softball. Ron was always willing to help out those in need and he loved socializing with his friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Carpenter and his brother, Donald Carpenter.
Ron is survived by his mother, Betty of Ada, Oklahoma, his children and their spouses: Nancy and Mark Edwards of San Antonio, Texas, Jerald and Lori Carpenter of Glenpool, Tammy and Brandon Williams of Enid, Shauna and Justin Peterson of Enid, his grandchildren: Brandy Shaffer of San Antonio, Kodie Carpenter of Glenpool, Blake Butler of Enid, Megan Butler of Enid, Gunner Williams of Enid, Jaycob Peterson of Enid, his great grandchildren: Peyton Koerber of San Antonio, Jaxon Branham of San Antonio, Landen Branham of San Antonio, Riela Branham of San Antonio, his siblings, Ricky Carpenter of Enid, Jackie McDaniel of Duncan, Larry Carpenter of Ft. Worth, Texas along with other family members and friends.
Memorial service is 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Schaudt's Funeral Service Chapel, 719 E. 141st Street, Glenpool, Oklahoma.
