Ron T Hess

Ron T Hess was born February 11, 1957 to Thane and Jackie Hess and raised in Rogers Heights, Michigan. Ron began his career in Grand Rapids, Michigan and moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1981. Ron was an avid golfer, accomplished artist and athlete. He loved his daughters and grand-girls unconditionally. He had a joke for every occasion and a heart for the underdog. Ron was a natural salesman, he loved mentoring and helping others succeed in their careers. Ron was Vice President of National Sales for Berendsen Fluid Power Inc. in Tulsa.

Early in the morning, on August 20, 2015, after almost 2 years of battling an incurable disease, our sweet Dad, one of the greatest loves of our lives, took his last breath. When diagnosed in November 2013, he was given just a year. In classic Ron style, he defied the odds and surpassed the year mark as if time were standing still. He was lucky in some sense; he didn’t have many complications after the cancer diagnosis. He honestly looked like he had before, just that he decided to rock a new hair-do. Just 17 short days ago, he was surfing in Florida, while 4 of little ‘bumble-bee-babes’ watched with excitement. 12 days ago he was playing 18 holes with a forever friend in the 103 degree heat. He never “looked” or “acted” sick.
Ron is survived by his parents and step-mother Judith Hess, sister Vicky (Tim) Pendergrass, daughters Veronica (Ben) Beeler, Ally Hess (Dustin Mathews), their mother Micki, step-daughter, Katie Swant, her mother Debbie, and granddaughters Blithe, Capri, Cecilee Beeler and Ainsley Hess-Mathews along with numerous friends and special people in his life.

In true Ron Hess form, he celebrated his life by requesting a living wake. People came from all over the states to toast the wonderful man he was.
