Roger Price Goolsby age 69 passed onto his heavenly home on Wednesday April 25, 2007. Cancer was the one and only battle he could not win. Roger was born in Texarkana, TX on December 1, 1937 to Will Roy & Opal Price Goolsby. After suffering from polio and the horrors of an iron lung at the age of six, he achieved all the joys of life that the doctors said he would never enjoy; high school football, auto racing, and the Texas Army Reserves. Roger helped construct a water pipeline in Saudi Arabia, and worked in the oil fields with Marathon Letourneau. He traveled the world as a trouble shooter for 30 years with Unit Rig & equipment in fact the only country roger did not travel to was Mongolia.
Adhering always to the strong influence of his parents Roger never allowed race, sexual gender or religion to interfere with friendship or work. All of Gods creatures were important to him and his special hero was Mother Theresa.
Roger was preceded in death by his first wife; Bobby (Derringer) Goolsby and son; Tim Goolsby.
He survived by his wife Joyce of Jenks, OK; son: David and his wife Vonn of Sperry, OK; daughter: Wende McKenzie of Tulsa, OK; brother: W.R.
