Roger Lewis Busse, a resident of Morris, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2012 at the age of 59. He was born September 5, 1953 to Lewis Busse and Mary Ellen (Rogers) Woody in Morris, Oklahoma. On June 6, 2001, he married Karen (McKee) Busse in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. He was a member of Dewar First Baptist Church and a member of the Mason’s, the Cherokee Lodge 10 and the Tulsa Scottish Rite. He worked for Kimberly Clark in Jenks for 16 years. Education was dear to his heart, as he worked in education for 18 years as an elementary teacher and principle. Survivors include his wife, Karen Busse of the home; three children, MSgt. Roger Busse, Jr. and wife, Sheri of Florida, Toby Busse and fiancé, Jessica of Tulsa and Tiffany Robertson and husband, Sam of Henryetta; three brothers, Leonard Busse and wife, June of Westminster, CO., Billy Busse of Norman and Robert Wayne Busse of Tulsa; two sisters, Sandy Nunley of Melissa, TX and Libbie Hendrix and husband, Robert Doyle of Durant; aunt, Lorene Rogers; four grandchildren, Camden and Bishop Berryhill, Kari and Kaylee Busse and mother-in-law, Juanita McKee. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 28, 2012 at the Greenlawn Cemetery in Checotah with Billy Busse speaking. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to the Education Fund for Roger’s grandchildren at the Morris State Bank c/o Karen Busse Po Box 70 Morris, Ok 74445, memo title “Busse Grandchildren Education Fund” or make any donation to the charity of your choice.
