Roger Allen Pelts, 67, passed away peacefully early Christmas morning in his home in Tulsa, OK.
In Heaven, he’ll be greeted by his father, Billy Buck and mother, Myrtle Almeda, as well as his sisters Debbie and Terrie Lynn. He is survived by his wife Diana Pelts; his sons Brian Scott and William Connor; his daughters Allison Marie and Juliana Rae; his step-daughters Taylor and Catherine; also his sisters Darlene Lemke and Marjorie Dianne Murray; and many, many close friends.
Born in Edmond, OK and raised in Oklahoma City, Roger was the only son of five children. He spent his early years in Oklahoma City. He graduated from Locust Grove high school in 1969 and later moved to Pryor, OK. With a strong passion for music and a gift with the guitar, he joined a band and began to tour around the country. Later he began travelling to perform for the DOD for the servicemen in Europe and the Middle East.
In his later life, he settled down in the south side of Tulsa, where he lived with and raised a loving family. He began to play guitar in praise and worship groups. He spent years worshipping with New Freedom Fellowship, then later with Evergreen Baptist Church. Around this time, he was working at Lakeside State Bank. Then, he began to work as an customer service representative with Capital One Auto Finance.
A memorial to celebrate the Life of Roger will be held on December 28, 2016. There will also be a private graveside service.
