Rodney Lee Hodgkins, 61, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away Saturday, November 1, 2014 in his home surrounded by family. His passing ended a long struggle from the results of diabetes.

Rodney was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on December 29th, 1952 to Albert Elish and Freda (Tucker) Hodgkins. He graduated Holliday High School in 1971 and attended Midwestern State University. Rodney was a sales engineer for Ecolab Nalco Chemical Company for the past 12 years. He attended First Baptist Church of Jenks. He excelled in everything he did and he loved to laugh. Rodney was a huge St. Louis Cardinals fan and an avid golfer.

He was preceded in death by his father, Albert, mother, Freda, sister, Faye, and brother Jack. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Betty of Glenpool, Ok; daughter, Mae and husband Travis Caves and their daughter, Paige of Tulsa, OK; son, Richard Hodgkins and wife Stacy of Oklahoma City, OK; their daughter Chloe and Rick's oldest two children, Lauren and Braden of Oklahoma City; brothers Ronny of Kilgore, TX, Donny of Dundee, TX, Alvin of Wichita Falls, TX and sister Nelda of Dundee, Texas.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

Visitation with family will be held at Dundee, Texas Saturday, November 15, 2014 from 3pm to 5pm at his sister Nelda’s home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rose Rock Healthcare/Hospice, 2642 East 21st Street, Tulsa, OK 74114.
