Rodney Wayne Slagle

Rodney "Rod" Wayne Slagle, born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on June 6, 1952 to John and Patsy Slagle, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

A proud graduate of Edison High School (Class of 1970), Rod attended the University of Tulsa and later worked as an accounting clerk for the family business, Shell & Tube Inc., before retiring in 2011.

Rod had a deep love for gaming-whether it was board games, Dungeons & Dragons, or the latest video and computer games. He was a passionate bowler, participating in numerous leagues and even achieving the elusive perfect 300 game. He also enjoyed golf, watching the weather, spending time with his family, and sharing life's moments with his beloved cat-all with a Diet Dr Pepper in hand.

Rod is survived by his mother, Patsy Slagle; his sister, Shelly Davis; nieces Jennifer Mounger (Matt) and Ashley Isaac (Mark); and great-niece and nephews Eli Isaac, Jacob Isaac, Savanah Mounger, and Chandler Mounger. He is preceded in death by his father, John Slagle.

Rod will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Diabetes Association in his honor.
