Roc Shane Summers, recently retired from Spirit AeroSystems, passed away from natural causes with loving family by his side on Thursday, November 19, 2020, at the age of 62 years. He is survived by his wife Linda; his three daughters, Allycia and husband Cory, Larissa, and Jacquelyn; his granddaughter Liliana; his mother Fran; his brother Dail and wife Mary; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Summers.
Roc was a husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, colleague, friend. He was a quiet person. Reflective. Deep. He was an artistic person, who practiced calligraphy and drew comical cartoon sketches. He was a brilliantly funny storyteller, who could make even the most absurd seem true. He was a spiritual person, who found peace exploring Oxley Nature Center in Tulsa and hiking the Sandia Mountains in Albuquerque. He was a man who hid his pain, and who died too young.
In accordance with Roc’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. But he hoped all who knew him would raise a glass and offer a kind word on his behalf. Roc’s ashes will be scattered in a private family ceremony at a later date.
