Robert William Brosnan age 77 passed away Sunday, October 7, 2007 at Tulsa Nursing Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Robert was born March 27, 1930 in Flushing, New York to Jack Brosnan and Dorothy (Blank) Brosnan. Robert joined the United States Army and served as a military police sergeant. He was a Korean War Veteran.
When Robert was fourteen years old he started working with Schumacher and Company cutting fabric. For thirty-seven years he was a salesman for Duralee Fabrics and his territory covered the States of Oklahoma, Arkansas and Texas. In his spare time he enjoyed cooking. Robert moved to the Tulsa area coming from Little Rock, Arkansas in 1991. Robert was of Catholic faith.
Robert was preceded in death by both is parents: Jack and Dorothy Brosnan and his sister: Dorothy O'Boy.
Robert is survived by his wife: Julia Brosnan of Tulsa; his step-son: Bill Hutchins and his wife, Diane of Catoosa, Oklahoma; his daughter: Patty Brosnan of College Point, New York; his step-daughters: Christie Smith of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Carol Jones of Tulsa along with six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 pm October 16, 2007 at Fort Gibson National Cemetery, Fort Gibson, Oklahoma.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Legion Post #1 1120 E 8th St Tulsa, OK 74120.
