With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Robert William Pitts Jr., born June 20, 1974, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Robert, a devoted and loving husband, father, brother, and steadfast friend, left this world on October 3, 2024.
Robert shared a beautiful marriage with his wife, Donagail Lovelace. For ten wonderful years, their relationship grew into a true reflection of love and commitment, and together they embarked on many adventures, checking off items on their bucket list and creating memories that will forever be cherished. Robert was dedicated to forging their bright future.
As a father, Robert was dependable, always desiring a strong bond with his two daughters, Kara Nick and Katie Wofford, both whom he loved deeply. He found immense joy in Ethan Wofford, his grandson. Robert also embraced his role as a father to Donagail’s sons, Lucas Byrne and his wife Jelena, and Jacob Byrne and his wife Alysia, never failing to proudly be a source they could turn to for companionship, guidance and support in navigating adulthood. His mother-in-law Patricia Lovelace, will remember him not only for his smile but for his undeniable love for her daughter Donagail. For all his family, Robert was resolute as a model of hard work done in love.
Robert was a cherished brother to Jason Pitts and his wife Amanda, and David Pitts and his wife Tish. He held his family close at heart, especially his nephews, Tyler and James, and many more nephews, nieces, and cousins, all of whom will carry forward his sense of humor and spirit of generosity. He is also survived by his uncles David Fenton, and Darrel Fenton.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Sr. and Leasa Pitts, and his sister, Lisa Pitts, whose memories will forever remain in the hearts of family. A true enthusiast of life, Robert was a proud member of the Callejeros RC motorcycle club and Red and Gold Family for over a decade. He also thoroughly enjoyed his connection with the Bearded Brothers United. He embraced every opportunity to explore new places and experiences. Known for his love of foods and an old-fashioned cocktail shared with good company, Robert brought joy and laughter to every gathering.
Robert's work ethic and dedication were evident in all aspects of his life. He was a pillar of strength for his family, always there with a listening ear, quick-witted reply, or a helping hand. His legacy of love, humor, and adventure will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
As we gather to celebrate Robert's life, join us in sharing recollections that honor the love he brought into this world. He will be deeply missed, but for his family and friends, his jovial spirit will forever rekindle fond memories of a life spent with him.
