Robert Lee "Bobby" Knox age 65 passed away Monday, December 3, 2012 at Saint Francis Hospital, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Bobby was born October 30, 1947 in Wichita, Kansas the son of Charles and Dorothy (Russell) Knox. He graduated from Ponca City High School in 1965. He received a Mechanical Technology degree from OSU. He married Linda J. McDaniel on August 19, 1968. Bobby began his career with ONG on March 1, 1968 in Stillwater and he transferred to Muskogee in 1986. In 2000 he worked in Tulsa for ONEOK as a Business Systems Analyst II until he retired in 2008. Bobby loved driving his Corvette, hunting and playing golf. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents: Charles and Dorothy Knox, his step-father Harold Fairbanks and his son, Travis. He is survived by his wife, Linda Knox of Jenks, son Robert W. Knox and his wife Teresa of Minneola, Kansas, his daughter Cheryl Hughes and her husband Chris of Jenks, his two sisters Doris Sims and her husband Roy of Ponca City and Charlotte Smith and her husband Gary of Portland, Texas, his brother in-law Kenneth McDaniel of Stillwater, along with five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Bobby's memory to the National Kidney Foundation Department, 30 E. 33rd Street, New York, New York 10016. Arrangements were entrusted to Daniel C.
