Robert Lee Ford

Robert Lee Ford, 71, Bixby area resident, passed away at his home on Thursday morning, August 7, 2014, with his wife by his side.
Robert was born July 4, 1943 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to his parents, Sid & Ina (Gentry) Ford. He attended Broken Arrow schools and was a member of the 1961 graduating class of the Broken Arrow Senior High School. After graduating, Robert answered the call to serve his country in the US Air Force.
He enjoyed working with his hands, tinkering with things. He also loved to grow things in his garden.
Robert married Diana Lee (Nichols) Ford on June 12, 1982 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Robert worked as a truck driver for many years, retiring in 2009. While on the road, Diana traveled with him.
He is preceded in death by his father, Sid.
Robert leaves many loving memories with his family, wife, Diana; mother, Ina; daughters, Jamie Lee and Pam Purkett; sons, Cole Gulyas, Josh Gulyas, and Shane Ford; grandchildren, Aaron, Christopher, Maci, Katie, Brenna, Braiden, Haley, Ivy, Jake, Brooke, Liam, Cailan, Ahren, Lance, and Amber; great-grandchild, Logan; sisters, Betty Ford & husband Gary Hollis, and Shirley Raska & husband Charles, as well as many other loving family members.
