Robert Gerald Jackson

Robert Gerald Jackson (Jerry), a resident of Okmulgee, passed away Saturday, November 23, 2013 in Tulsa at the age of 61. He was born on October 5, 1952 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Robert Eugene and Vivian Maxine Jackson. Jerry received his diploma and joined the United States Air Force, serving two tours of duty in Vietnam. He had earned the rank of Tech Sergeant at the time of his discharge after which he moved to Okmulgee. Jerry married Laura McCoy on May 3, 1986 in Okmulgee and was a member of the Second Baptist Church. Jerry is survived by his wife, Laura of the home; four sons, Michael, Shane, Brandon and Tyler Jackson; four beautiful daughters, Tarra Jackson, Amber Fixico, Demetria Jackson and Brittany Jackson; sister, Zeborah Smith of Okmulgee; sixteen grandchildren and many nieces and nephews the he treasured dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Allen Jackson (A.J) and his granddaughter, Riley Kai. Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at the Second Baptist Church in Okmulgee with Pastor Steve Gallagher officiating.
