Robert Foster Bible of Kiefer, Oklahoma passed away, December 20, 2020 at the age of 63.

A funeral service to honor the life of Robert will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Faith Church, 1901 W 171st, Glenpool, Oklahoma. A visitation will be held on Monday, December 28, 2020 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at Schaudt's Glenpool Chapel 719 East 141st Street, Glenpool, Oklahoma 74033.

Robert was born in Claremore, OK on December 10th, 1957 to Andy and JoAnn Bible. Robert graduated from Glenpool High School in 1976 where he enjoyed playing basketball, baseball, and football. He later graduated from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK after studying Social Studies and completed his Masters degree in School Administration. Robert taught and coached at Tulsa McLain High School and was an assistant basketball coach as they became state champions in 1990. He was an Assistant Principal at Tulsa Central High School and Union Public Schools. He then served as the Principal at Checotah Public Schools and was later promoted to Superintendent while joining the College of Muscogee Nation as a Regent Member. Robert became the President of the College of Muscogee Nation in 2009 and was the longest serving President in the college’s history. At the time of his passing, he was completing his studies at Grand Canyon University as a Doctoral Candidate in Organizational Leadership. He was an advocate for educational leadership for native students and adults throughout Indian Country. He served on multiple advisory boards, committees, commissions, consortiums, and clubs to promote equitable educational opportunities for the students he served. Robert enjoyed playing golf with his friends, family and wife nearly every week and watching all sports involving the University of Oklahoma. Going to the casino with Dr. James King was a favorite past time along with attending activities for his grandchildren.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Andy and Joann, his sister, Lana Tiger, and his brothers Timmy and Phillip Bible.

Robert is survived by his wife Melissa Bible, of the home; son Kellen Bible of Warner, OK and Kory Bible and his wife Whitney of Warner, OK; brother and best friend Larry Bible and his wife Shelly of Sand Springs, OK and David Bible of Okmulgee, OK; sister Billie Childers of Bixby, OK; grandchildren Landon, Kaden, Jett, Briley, Brooks, Addison, Knox and Isabelle; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
