Robert Eugene Battle

Robert Eugene Battle age 72 went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, December 9, 2003 at his residence in Mounds, Oklahoma. He was born in Fort Worth, Texas March 12, 1931 to James Thomas Battle and Mary Ellen Parrish Battle. Mr. Battle married Evelyn Lavern Brown May 24, 1947.
Mr. Battle was retired and was previously employed as a shipping supervisor for Nelson Electric. He enjoyed doing yard work and farming. He was a member of Mounds First Baptist Church for 20 years and resided in Mounds, Oklahoma for over 30 years.
Mr. Battle is survived by his loving wife, Evelyn, Mounds, OK; sister, May Margaret Lewis, Pasadena, TX; daughter, Kathy and husband, Gary Harp, Glenpool, OK; daughter, Jeannie and husband, George Stopp, Jenks, OK; son, Mike Battle, Sand Springs, OK; and son, James Thomas Battle and wife, Janice, Ripley, OK. Mr. Battle is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Daniel C. Schaudt of Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service. Memorial Services will be held 6:00 P.M. December 12, 2003 at the Mounds First Baptist Church.
