It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Arthur Deupree, affectionately known as "Bobby," who left us on March 22, 2025, at the age of 76. Bobby was born on December 10, 1948, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to his loving parents, Tom and Sue Deupree. He was one of five children, a brother to Tommy, Susan, Carol, and Diane. Sadly, our dear brother Tommy passed away on September 11, 2023, but Bobby is now reunited with him, along with their parents.
Bobby attended Thomas Edison High School in Tulsa and later continued his education at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah earning his Bachelors Degree in Psychology. Over the years, Bobby worked for several companies, but it was after retiring that he found joy in his work as a courier for American Title, a position he cherished, where he formed lasting friendships with many of the women he worked with.
Bobby was a devoted and loving stepfather to Ashley, and step-grandfather to Jaxon, Bella, and Clayton, whom he adored dearly. He also shared a special bond with his beloved companion, Huxley, a mix of Beagle and Pug. Bobby and Huxley were inseparable, and in the final chapter of Bobby's life, Huxley was welcomed into the home of his stepchildren, where they continued their shared bond.
One of Bobby's greatest passions was riding his motorcycle. He loved to cruise around town and take long rides down country roads, always with a carefree spirit. He was known for never wearing a helmet, often saying, "If I die, I die." He was also a devoted fan of the University of Oklahoma, never missing a game on TV and attending many in person, often sharing those moments with his sister Susan, who was his fellow sports enthusiast.
Bobby was a cherished brother, uncle, and friend. He loved spending time with his family, especially during the holidays, making Christmas and Thanksgiving extra special with his presence. His warmth, sense of humor, and big heart will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Bobby's last words to his family were a beautiful testament to his love for those who had gone before him: "I want to be with Mom, Dad, and Brother Tommy." On March 22, 2025, his wish was granted, and Bobby was peacefully reunited with his loved ones.
He leaves behind a family who will carry him in their hearts forever. Bobby's memory will live on through the stories, laughter, and love he shared with all of us.
Rest in peace, Bobby. You are deeply missed but never forgotten.
