Robert Calvin Schmidt

Robert Calvin Schmidt, 94, of Glenpool, Oklahoma passed, Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Robert was born in White River, South Dakota on July 13, 1922 to the late Evelyn (Arconge) and Fred S. Schmidt. He graduated from Sallisaw High School and served in the U.S. Army during WWII as a Tech 5. Robert married Carol (Wilson) from Smithville, Oklahoma on July 25, 1973 in Poteau, Oklahoma. He worked as a supervisor of food service in the Indian Health Services. He was a member of First Presbyterian in Sapulpa, Oklahoma.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents; Evelyn and Fred Schmidt, siblings; Lorene Gullikson, Elinor Burnette, Vernon Schmidt, children; Charles Robert Schmidt, Bill Schmidt, and Karen Burnette.

Robert is survived by his wife Carol Schmidt; children; Nancy Schmidt, Roberta Schmidt, Clarice Schmidt, Douglas Schmidt, Louis Schmidt, Mike Schmidt, Vernon "Ike" Schmidt, Edward Schmidt, and Alan Jones; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nephews, and nieces, and many loving friends.

Viewing will be Thursday, January 26, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Schaudt's Funeral Service Chapel, 719 E. 141st Street, Glenpool, OK. 74033.

Funeral Services will be Friday, January 27, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian, 111 S. Oak, Sapulpa, OK. 74066. Reverend Wally Johnson will officiate.

Interment will be at Oakhaven Memorial Gardens in Claremore, Oklahoma.
