Rita Jane Rupp, 83, of Tulsa Oklahoma, born February 3, 1940, died February 5, 2023.
Rita was born in Vinita, Oklahoma to Ernest and Opal Johnson. She was the 3rd child and oldest daughter. Her father took many jobs and moved the family around over the years. As a young adult she moved to Kansas City where she met her husband Floyd. They moved to Sand Springs, Oklahoma where she had her children and lived in the Tulsa area until her death.
She spent her life serving her family and following Jesus. She began playing piano at the age of 3, and had a beautiful singing voice. She dabbled in many different and varied hobbies throughout her life. Some of these include working for TWA, attending Chiropractic College, recording a gospel album in Russian, and writing a novel of Christian fiction. One of her greatest joys in life was spending time with her grandchildren, and she loved and spoiled them with extravagance. One of her most notable qualities was her generosity and need to take care of her family. She was loved deeply by her husband Floyd.
