Richard Joseph Morgan, of Morris, Oklahoma passed away on July 22, 2019, at the age of 67. Richard was born on July 15, 1952 in Okemah, Oklahoma to parents Lois and Josephine Morgan.
Anyone who knew Richard only knew him as “Bull”. Bull was raised in Okmulgee/Okfuskee area. He was no stranger to hard work. His dad made sure of that! Bull was 4th to the oldest of 11 siblings. Summertime was the time for physical strength training, in which he spent a lot of time in the peanut field and grueling hay field. “No use complaining” his dad would not have it! Bull also worked in the oil fields; heavy equipment operator became his trade.
He went on to join the U.S. Army February 27, 1971. He served in the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged April 22, 1972. We are especially honored that he served his country!
His family is very proud of Bull and they thank God for allowing them to be his family. He loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Bull is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Josephine Morgan; one son Richard J. Morgan Jr; and three brothers Dennis Morgan, Louis Morgan III and Robert Morgan.
Survivors include his children: Regina Morgan of Morris; Richard H. Morgan of Sapulpa, Victoria J. Morgan of Ponca City and Raymond Morgan of Pawhuska as well as four brothers and three sisters: Ronnie Morgan of Eufaula, Tommy Morgan of Okmulgee, Michael Morgan of Morris, Johnny Morgan of Okmulgee, Frances Morgan of Bristow, Susie Morgan-Bishop of Morris and Ellen Morgan-Lena of Okemah.
Many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends will keep Bull in their hearts forever.
Bull will NEVER be forgotten. His sense of humor will dearly be missed.
