Richard Hawkins

Richard T. Hawkins, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, departed from this world on April 14, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born on July 19, 1937, in Claremore, Oklahoma.

Richard was a devoted husband to his wife, Judy, and a doting father to his two daughters, Angie Walkup and Misty McCracken. He was also a loving brother to his sister, Patricia Parent and nieces Liz McKay and Chaney Pearson. Richard's life was enriched by the presence of his four grandchildren, and his four great-grandchildren.

Richard was an Air Force Veteran and served his country proudly during the late 50's in Okinawa. Richard attended Spartan School of Aeronautics and he worked at McDonald Douglas/Boeing for over 30 years.

Outside of work, Richard found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He savored the company of friends, often gathering with them over a cold beer to share stories and laughter. Richard's sociable nature and genuine kindness endeared him to all who knew him.

Richard will be remembered for his unwavering kindness, sincerity, and honesty. He embodied the values of decency and integrity in all aspects of his life. As a friend, spouse, and father, Richard's presence brought comfort, laughter, and love to those around him.

Richard is preceded in death by his son, Rick, who passed exactly one year to date from his father. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Richard was a proud citizen of the Muscogee Nation. He grew up in Stidham, Oklahoma with several cousins with whom he maintained a very close relationship with until he passed.

In honor of Richard's life, a celebration of his legacy will be held, where family and friends will come together to share memories and pay tribute to a remarkable man. Richard's spirit will continue to shine brightly, illuminating our hearts with the warmth of his memory.

A celebration of Richard's life will be held 1:30 PM, Thursday, April 25, 2024 at Schaudt's Tulsa Funeral Service, 5757 S. Memorial Drive, Tulsa, OK 74145 with a reception to follow at 2:30 PM.
