Richard Eugene Stovall

Richard "Dick" Eugene Stovall age 78 passed away December 24, 2008 at his residence in Glenpool, Oklahoma surrounded by his family members.
Dick was born September 3, 1930 in St. Paul, Kansas to Alfred Stovall and Olive (Gilbert) Stovall. He attended schools in California. He joined the United States Navy and was honorably discharged on January 4, 1968. He married Britta M. Ahlin on April 21, 1953 in Seabrook, New Hampshire. Dick worked for 18 years as a boiler plant engineer for the VA and retired September 1985. He moved from Phoenix, Arizona to Glenpool in September 2005. Dick enjoyed camping, spending time with his family and sitting on his front porch drinking coffee.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents: Alfred and Olive Stovall and his son, Karl Stovall who passed away in 2004.
He is survived by his wife: Ellen "Britta" Stovall of Glenpool; his sons: Kurt O. Stovall and his fiancée, Tomi; Ed McCarthy and his wife, Kathy of Racine, WI; his daughter: Kristina Wood and her husband, Dean; seven grandchildren: Kaylee, Dallas, Lily, Ruby Wood, Kurt and Kord Stovall and Erin Bowman.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service Chapel, Glenpool, Oklahoma. Reverend Melvin Shorter will officiate.
