Richard Ernis Yeager

Richard Ernis Yeager age 80 years old passed away on November 29, 2015 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Richard was born on February 10, 1935 in Dallas, Texas to J. B. and Ruth (Jones) Yeager. He graduated from Okmulgee High School with the Class of 1953 and went on to attended the University of Oklahoma. He married Mary Southwick in Okmulgee and celebrated sixty-one years together. Richard worked as an Engineer for PSO for forty years before he retired in 1994. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Okmulgee.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Yeager, his two daughters, Janet and David Dixon of Morris, Debbie and Charles Cheney of Grapevine, Texas, two sons, John and Linda Yeager of Okmulgee, Chris and Rayleen Yeager of Gravette, Arkansas, his brother Jim and Susan Yeager of Glenpool, his sister Linda and Gary Smeltzer of Stillwater, Oklahoma, his ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren, other family members and friends.

Visitation is Wednesday, December 2, 2015 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Schaudt's Funeral Service, Okmulgee, Oklahoma.

Funeral service is Thursday, December 3, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 302 S. Seminole Avenue, Okmulgee, Oklahoma 74447 (918 756-6083). Reverend Glen Rowan will officiate. Interment will follow at Okmulgee Cemetery.
