Rex Elliott Gates

Rex E. Gates age 58 departed this life to a heavenly journey on Saturday, October 4, 2014.

Rex was born March 4, 1956 to Lewis and Pardi Gates in St. Louis, Missouri. Rex grew up in Tulsa and attended Nathan Hale High School. He joined the United Sates Marine Corp. and honorably and faithfully served until 1979. From a very young age Rex enjoyed the sport of motorcycling and spent most of his life dedicated to the sport. He worked in that industry until he retired.

Rex married the love of his life, Lisa Rosalie on July 7, 2007 and they lived happily and faithfully together for the rest of his years.

Rex was preceded in death by his parents: Lewis and Pardi Gates.

He is survived by his children Brandi Nicole Farley, Robert Gates and Lucas Gates all from Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Rex was a life-time member of the Motorcycle Riders Club of America, an active member of the American Motorcyclist Association, a Member of the Gold wing Roadriders Association, Victory Riders Club and a member of the Oklahoma Patriot Guard.

Rex loved sharing his laugh with others and was always willing to lend a hand or to just sit and listen. The thunder from his throttle will now fill the skies.

Service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service Chapel, 719 East 141st Street, Glenpool, Oklahoma.Pastor Darrell Harris will officiate.
