Raymond Roland Frechette

Raymond Roland Frechette age 71 passed away peacefully on December 31, 2013 at the South Town Nursing Home in Bixby, Oklahoma.

Ray was born August 31, 1942 in Northbridge, Massachusetts to Adrien and Elodie (McPhee) Frechette. He grew up and spent many years in Fitchburg, Massachusetts before moving to Oklahoma in 1976.

He enjoyed playing golf, watching Nascar and wrestling. He coached soccer and loved to go fishing - "here fishy fishy". When his granddaughter, Sherry found out she was going to have a baby, he thought they were pulling his leg. The day Dalton was born he had the biggest smile on his face. His grandson, Josh remembers when Papa and he would ride the bus to go to the movies. Raymond's nicknames were "Ray Ray", "Papa" and "Squirrel".

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers: Ernest and Francis Frechette.

He is survived by his wife, Marie (Demeulle) Frechette of Oklahoma, his daughter Ann (Frechette) Engle and her husband, Alan of Oklahoma, his son Mark Frechette and his wife, Jennifer of Florida. He has five grandchildren, Sherry Najera and her husband, Kyle, James Payton, Josh Frechette and his wife, Alyssa, Katie Frechette, Kourtney Frechette, three great grandchildren, Dalton Chapa, Zoey and Zachary Najera, three sisters, Ceil Mason of Sterling, MA, Adrienne Renaud of Leominster, MA, Rosemarie Frechette of Fitchburg, MA, three brothers, Henry Frechette of Holliday, TN, Charlie Frechette of Athol, MA and Larry Frechette of Fitchburg, MA along with many nieces, nephews, other family members, friends and acquaintances.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 11, at Schaudt's Funeral Home and Cremation Care in Glenpool, Oklahoma. Pastor Gary Volz will officiate.
