Ralph Scott Philpot

Ralph Scott Philpot age 91 passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Villages at Southern Hills Nursing Home in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Ralph was born December 21, 1922 in Humboldt, Nebraska to Ben Philpot and Mae (Thomas) Philpot. He married Mary Mann on August 17, 1958. Ralph served in the United States Navy as a Chief Petty Officer. After retiring from the Navy he worked the next twenty-seven years as an assembly line worker for General Motors Corporation. He was a long time member of Spring Valley Baptist Church in Raytown, Missouri.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings.

He is survived by his wife, Mary, his daughter, Linda King of Tulsa, Oklahoma, his step-sons: Michael Schafer, Jim Schafer, John Schafer, his twelve grandchildren, his seventeen great grandchildren, other family members and friends.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 8, 2014 at Spring Valley Baptist Church, 8801 E. 79th Street, Raytown, Missouri. Interment will follow at Englewood Cemetery, Hwy. 7 & S. Vansant Road, Clinton, Missouri. Pastor Larry Heenan will officiate.
