Ralph M. Rogers

Ralph M. Rogers, a lifelong resident of Okmulgee, went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 17, 2011 at the age of 76. He was born on July 12, 1935 to Ralph and Mary (Helms) Rogers in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. He worked at Ball Glass Company as a production manager for 43 years. Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Rosetta Rogers of the home; six children, Mark Rogers and wife, Sandy of Dunkirk, IN, Kathy Perry of Indianapolis, IN, Kevin Rogers and wife, Michelle of Holly Springs, NC, Linda Manns and husband, Tim of Okmulgee, Rusty McNew of Okmulgee and Jeanne Wetherbee of Okmulgee; one sister, Ruth Ann Nichols of Jenks; one brother, Tommy Rogers of Texas; sixteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at the Okmulgee Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tanner Manns, Marvin Manns, Wade Burrow, Aaron Burrow, Tyler Terrio and Steven Rogers. Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Okmuglee. Ralph did not see blood as the definition of family; his definition of family was Love, Caring and making Lifetime Memories. This unconditional love is what he left behind; it was his legacy, and what he instilled in each of the family members he leaves behind.
