Ralph Leonard Smith

Ralph Leonard Smith, 91, of Okmulgee, OK, died peacefully Sunday, February 5, 2017, at ReBold Manor in Okmulgee.

Ralph was born in Jasper, AR on December 13, 1925, a son of the late Floy Marie (Farmer) and Alfred Jonah Smith. He worked as a welder at American Airlines.

Ralph loved to go fishing, camping, garden, raise cattle, attended auctions and flea markets. He enjoyed traveling, visiting California, Texas, Hawaii, Tennessee, Missouri, and Israel. He was a long time member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Ralph is survived by a daughter, Faith Elaine and husband Jim Gasaway of Okmulgee; two sisters, Joann and husband Harold Glenn of Okmulgee; Marie McGinniss of Okmulgee; two brothers Claude and wife Virginia Smith of Schulter, and Virgil and wife Connie Smith of Okmulgee, and five grandchildren, Steven and Katie Smith of Bixby; Amanda and Casey Thomas of Henryetta, Jimmy Robert Gasaway, Jr of Okmulgee, Laura and John Morgan of Henryetta, Josh and Dayla Gilmore of Claremore, Jimmie Rae and James Galloup of Tulsa, Thresea and Ronnie Cox of Tulsa, Ladonna Shepherd of Okmulgee; 22 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren and as well as another great-grandson on the way; including many Nieces, Nephews, other loving relatives and a host of friends.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Amy Smith; son, Michael Smith; brothers, Billy Walter Smith, Paul Smith, Jim Smith, and Clarence Smith.

Viewing will be held 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, February 7th at Schaudt's Okmulgee Funeral Service Chapel in Okmulgee, OK

Service will be held 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 8th at First Assembly of God Church, 301 N. Seminole, Okmulgee, OK with Pastor Jonathan Hanshaw officiating. Interment will follow at Morris Cemetery, Morris, OK.
