Ralph Edward Glass

Ralph Edward Glass was born January 18th, 1948 to John Robert and Docia Glass in Tulsa, Ok.

He passed from this life on Sunday, February 6th, 2022 at the age of 74. He was a graduate of Webster high-school and went on to serve in the United States Army as a Medic with Company A, 2nd Battalion, 5th Cavalry. He was awarded 3 Bronze Stars for his bravery when risking his life to render medical aid to an injured soldier and waiting by his side, remaining in harm's way until he could be safely evacuated. He was awarded a Purple Heart for sustaining a gunshot wound to his leg for the same actions. He was honorably discharged after being wounded.

He began a long career on October 21st,1969, working for Dover-Norris making sucker rods for oil wells. He worked his way up and became a foreman before retiring on June 15th, 2009.

Ralph was deeply loved and admired by so many. He would often give his time to help others wherever there was a need. He volunteered with the Akdar Shrine and would often transport children to various Shriner Hospitals. He loved driving his mini car in parades, worked their circus events and many others as well.

He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, boating and fishing. He loved staying busy and enjoyed work on just about anything mechanical.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Elaine Glass, 2 children from a previous marriage; daughter, Renee Hyliard (Brian), their 3 children; Joshua Stevens, Jeffrey Stevens (Katrina, 3 children), Amanda Moore (Daniel, 7 children), son, Lynn Glass (Jessica), 3 children; Jared Glass (Katie), Jackson Glass (Kennedy) and Trevor Glass, 3 step-daughters; Michele Cornwell (Matthew), 2 children; Logan and Holden Cornwell, Melinda Gomez (Louis), 3 children; Jordan, Savanna and Sierra Salas, Kelly Reynolds, 2 children; Sadie and Austin Reynolds. He is also survived by his brother Jerrell Glass (Micky). He is preceded in death by his parents John Robert and Docia Glass, 2 brothers; Eli, Elmer and a sister; Frieda.
