Rachel Mae Stevens-Respicio passed away on Monday, January 9, 2023 at 39 years old, leaving a legacy of love and joy to all whose lives she touched. Rachel passed at her home in Catoosa, OK surrounded by her loving family.
Rachel was born on November 7, 1983, in Tulsa, OK to mother, Veronica Gregory and father, Harvey Barton. Rachel grew up in Tulsa and graduated from Daniel Webster High School in 2002.
Rachel worked in the mental health field, along with running a recovery house for those in need. She was very active in Narcotics Anonymous and the recovery community up until the day she passed away. Rachel was a big personality and loved deeply. She was truly one-of-a-kind, hilarious, and had one of the most energetic personalities. Rachel was a strong woman, overcoming obstacles of her own, while also helping many struggling with recovery and addiction. She always had a smile on her face even while fighting cancer and in pain. Rachel had a gift for finding joy where others overlooked it, and because of this, she left a little extra light behind for those that continue to cherish and love her.
Rachel is preceded in death by her grandparents; Sharon Newman, Ann Hanan, Carl and Margaret Barton, and her Aunt Carla Aldridge.
She is survived by her loving husband, Kyle Respicio; two daughters; Baily Stevens, Briana Springer-Irvin and husband, Kalib; mother, Veronica Gregory and husband, Nyronn; father, Harvey Barton and wife, Pam; grandfather, Ben Hanan and partner, Peggy Carroll; four brothers; Matthew Gregory and wife, Julie; Jonathan Gregory and Fiancée, Stephanie Black, Daniel Leonard and wife, Jennifer; Harrison Parrish and wife, Anna; two sisters; Amber Leonard, Nya Acree and husband, Philip; two granddaughters; Aurora Boucher and Emberely Springer-Irvin, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends she loved dearly.
Services to honor the life of Rachel will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Schaudt's Tulsa Funeral Service, 5757 S. Memorial Dr in Tulsa, OK, with Pastor Danny Stockstill officiating. Immediately following the service, there will be a gathering in Schaudt's Tulsa Wine Room from 12:30 PM - 2:30 PM, where friends and family may come together to continue sharing stories and celebrating the beautiful life that Rachel lived.
Rachel's service will be live-streamed for those unable to physically attend. The live-stream will begin at precisely 11:30 AM and can be viewed on Schaudt's Youtube page.
