Phyllis Marie Burns

Phyllis Marie (Roosa) Burns age 90 passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 3, 2008 at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Burns was born May 25, 1917 in Traverse City, Michigan to Orville C. Roosa and Lillian M. (Schench) Roosa. She graduated from high school and received an associates degree in nursing. Phyllis worked as a licensed practical nurse before she retired. She was a member of Congregational Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In her spare time she enjoyed knitting, crafting, sewing and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Burns moved to Mounds, Oklahoma from Grand Rapids, Michigan approximately two years ago to be closer to her family.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents: Orville and Lillian Roosa; her husband: Frank Burns; her brother: Omar Roosa and her sister: Alice Joanne Campsie.
She is survived by two daughters: Barbara Heaphy of Atkinson, New Hampshire; Patti Visser and her husband, Al of Mounds, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Private services were held on Sunday January 6, 2008 at the Visser Residence.
