Life is like a river which flows toward eternity. It is full of changing moods, One minute it moves smoothly through the valleys and mountains, the next, only to run rampant over rocks and hills and then smoothly and quietly again. And so it flows until it reaches that sea which is called death.
In loving memory of our father whose life will always stand as a loving beacon in our hearts. Phillip Wayne Berry was born December 18, 1948 to Leonard and Mary Alice Berry, Sr. His parents, two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. After graduation from Porter High School he joined the Army. After his discharge he made his home in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Later he relocated to Haskell, Oklahoma in 1971. There meeting Shelia Dixon and to that union three children were born: 2 sons; Aaron Lamont Berry, Eric Wayne Berry and 1 daughter: Tamesha Lashun Berry all of Haskell, Oklahoma. He also leaves to cherish his memory 2 sisters: Dorothy Carroll (Alan) of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Mae Bell Hopson of Tulsa, Oklahoma;1 Aunt Daisy Henderson of Tulsa, Oklahoma; a daughter: Takhea, his sons: Phillip, Michael and companion, Falekia, of the home. He also leaves behind a host of grandchildren; nieces and nephews as well as many other relatives and friends to cherish his memory.
His joy of life was taking his sons on fishing and hunting trips as well as those exciting rodeos. He was currently employed at Green Acres Sod Farm, Haskell, Oklahoma
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Porter, Oklahoma with the Pastor Larnnie Murphy and Tony R. Mazville, officiating. Committal with be at Rock Hill Cemetery, Porter, Oklahoma immediately following funeral service.
