Phillip David Walker

Services to honor and celebrate the life of Phillip David Walker of Jenks, OK will be held 2:00PM Friday, August 28th, 2020 at Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service with Pastor Brandon McCombs officiating. Phillip passed Sunday, August 23, 2020 at his residence. He was 65.

Phillip David Walker lived his day to day life around his grandkids, Alaina and Isaac Walker, coaching soccer, family, and work. He coached Soccer for the Sapulpa Soccer Association for the 35 years. He was near and dear to most kids he coached and became like a 2nd father to some. Just recently he was looking forward to coaching his grandson Isaac for his first season in soccer. Besides coaching soccer he LOVED spending his time with and spoiling his grandkids. With daily visits on his way home from work. When the neighbor's kids saw his car coming down the street, they would come running to meet him in hopes of getting some candy or even better maybe an invite to the fair that was happening that weekend.

Phil was a pure Jenks Trojan. He graduated from Jenks High School in 1973. He attended Jenks since the first day of first grade. While in school, he wrestled on the varsity team. Following graduation, he began to work at Interstate Tools with his father for ten years before deciding to move to further his education at Oklahoma State University until the early 90's. Phil loved fishing with his brother Mark at a secret spot that only he and his brothers knew about. The Walker brothers were close. They bonded during family poker nights where they would watch Oklahoma Sooners football and play poker until the peak of morning. He loved making kids smile.The little time he had left was spent working. He has worked for Reliance USA/Trident Metals for the last 25 years and had moved up in the company.
