Peter Osburn Worline "Handlebar Pete" was born August 24, 1940 in Enid, Oklahoma to Chester and Anna Marie Worline. Peter graduated from Enid High School in 1958. He attended Enid Business College and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Commercial Science. Peter served in the U.S. Army Reserve from 1963 - 1969 obtaining the rank of Supply Sergeant E-6. He worked for Champlain Oil & Refinery in Enid from 1958-1960 in the credit card billing department. Peter then moved to Bartlesville to work for Phillips Petroleum from 1960-1968 in gas lease sales and purchasing. Between 1969 and 1976 he owned 6 Taco Hut locations and a Peppe's Pizza Parlor. He began a long and successful career in retail in 1976 in management for C.R. Anthony's, managing locations in both Tulsa and Broken Arrow until 1998. Peter then began work at Dillard's Promenade in menswear until recently his lengthy battle with cancer led to retirement. Peter enjoyed fishing with his grandchildren and leatherwork.
Peter was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Patricia of the home; his daughters Angela (Worline) James and her husband Chris of Claremore, and Mary (Worline) Findley and her husband Clayton of Oologah; his grandchildren Bradley, Derrick, Wyatt, Harlie, and Kiersten; and one great-grandchild Avery.
