Pauline Evelyn Smith

Pauline Evelyn Smith was born on August 23, 1927 to John Clark and Allie (Rutherford) Metzger in Bald Hill, Oklahoma. They moved to Broken Arrow where she graduated from high school in 1945. She worked for Woody's Café and then as a bookkeeper for Mid Continent Oil. She married Clyde A. Smith, Jr. in Broken Arrow, Ok on June 24, 1949. Pauline was a homemaker and raised their two children, Polly and Tim. When Tim started to First grade, she went to Cosmetology School and then operated a beauty shop in her home for many years. She attended Broken Arrow Assembly Church of God in Broken Arrow. She loved the Lord and they were active in the church. She and Clyde loved to travel in their RV. Pauline and Clyde were campground hosts for the state of New Mexico for 15 years where they made many friends from all over the USA. When Clyde passed away in 2011, Pauline moved in with her daughter and son-in-law in Yukon, Ok. She attended Discovery Church and was active in their Senior Adult group known as The Ambassadors. She loved her church family and missed seeing them every week. On June 26th, 2021, she left her family to greet her Lord and Savior. She was 93 years of age. Her services are under the direction of Schaudt's Funeral Home in Tulsa, Ok.


She is survived by, Daughter, Polly Smith Wier and husband Marvin of Yukon, Ok. Son, Tim Clyde Smith of Sulphur, Ok. Grandchildren, Jeremy Wier and wife Nicole of Dublin, CA; Tiffany Burchett and husband Timmy of Seiling, Ok; James Ashlock and wife Lora of Broken Arrow, Ok. Great-Grandchildren, Karson and Kinley Burchett of Seiling, Oklahoma


Preceded in death by her parents, husband Clyde, sister Vera Brissey, brothers Lawrence and Richard Metzger, and nephew Danny Metzger.


In lieu of flowers, the family requested donations, in memory of Pauline Smith, to be sent to Discovery Church, PO Box 850092, Yukon, Oklahoma 73085.
