Pauline Capatha Proctor

Pauline Capatha (Starr) Proctor, 85, of Okemah, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, January 6th, 2021. Pauline was born on November 30, 1935 in Depew, OK to Neazetah (Roberts) and Lewis Starr. She enjoyed cooking, puzzles, word searches, sewing, and watching Law & Order SVU. Pauline loved watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren play sports. She enjoyed participating at her ceremonial ground Tallahassee Wvkokaye.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, four brothers, one infant daughter, and three infant grandchildren.

She is survived by five sons: David Proctor of Okmulgee, Michael Proctor of Henryetta, Reubun Proctor of Okmulgee, Marcus Proctor of Okmulgee, and William Proctor of Okmulgee; three daughters: Lydia Brown of Morris, Elizabeth Proctor of Okmulgee, and Marcie Bell of Okmulgee; one sister: Loretta Griffin of Okmulgee; eighteen grandchildren, thirty-five great grandchildren, and a host of family members and friends.

Pallbearers are Jason Harley, AJ Harley, Ethan Bell, Georgie Proctor, Randall Hicks, Eugene Melendez, Mike Sands, and Allen King.

Honorary Pallbearers are her great grandsons, and members of Tallahassee Wvkokaye Ceremonial Ground.

Viewing and visitation will be at Schaudt’s Funeral Service and Cremation Care chapel in Okmulgee on Monday, January 11, 2021 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Chebon Kernell will be officiating a graveside service at the Proctor family residence, in Okemah, on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at 1:00 pm.

Due to COVID restrictions and guidelines, the graveside service will only be for immediate family.
