Paul Mannford Bradley age 74 passed away Saturday, September 9, 2006 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma surrounded by his loving family members.
Mr. Bradley was born December 18, 1931 in Bixby, Oklahoma to Oscar Everett Bradley and Novia Louella (Miller) Bradley. He was one of fifteen children. He lived in Oklahoma all of his life; he attended Jenks Schools where he played high school football. He graduated from Jenks High School in 1950 and in December he enlisted into the United States Air Force. He was a Staff Sergeant and served four years before being honorably discharged.
In 1951 he met Reba Beeler through mutual friends and they started dating. They were married in Sapulpa, Oklahoma August 11, 1956. Paul and Reba celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this past August. Paul worked for C. E. Natco and retired in 1997.
Mr. Bradley enjoyed fishing, planting and taking care of his flower garden. He received great pleasure watching and attending Jenks High School football games with his only granddaughter, Laura. His other favorite sport was baseball. He enjoyed watching on television the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team.
He was preceded in death by both his parents: Oscar and Novia Bradley and his son, Randy Bradley who passed away in 1962; his brothers: Bill Bradley, Charlie Bradley, Cecil Bradley, John Bradley, J. R. Bradley, J. W. Bradley, Jimmy Bradley, Alfred Bradley and Oscar Bradley; his sisters: Fleeta Butts, Helen Becker, Evelyn Polite, Beatrice Bradley and Rita Bradley.
He is survived by his wife, Reba Bradley, his son: Michael Paul Bradley, his daughter, Sheila Gruver, granddaughter, Laura Aunella Gruver, along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers are: Phillip Bradley, Brent Reid, Paul Wilkinson, Darrell Beeler, Scott Davis, Billy Smith, Doug Smith and Craig Smith.
Honorary Pallbearers are: LNCPL. J. D. Kelley II, David Beeler, Coy Peevyhouse, Danny Beeler, Donny Beeler, Dean Bradley, Terry Bradley, Tommy Bradley, Gary Becker, Edgar Beach, Larry Davis, Todd Davis, Kelly McGonigal, Wesley Butts, Jerry Bradley and Billy Ed Bradley.
Family will receive friends Monday evening 5:00 p. m. til 7:00 p.m. at Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service located in Glenpool, Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be held 2:00p.m. Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at Beaver Street Baptist Church, Jenks, Oklahoma. Reverend Tom Mathews and Reverend Tim Reside will officiate. Interment will take place immediately following the funeral service at Bixby Cemetery, Bixby, Oklahoma.
