Paul Kenneth Massey, Jr.

On Wednesday, October 19th, 2011, an amazing Husband, Father, Grandpa and Friend graduated to Heaven. Paul Kenneth Massey of Jenks, Oklahoma, died suddenly at the young age of 64. Paul's amazing legacy starts in his hometown of Newport, Arkansas. His parents, Paul and Charlotte Massey were blessed to finally get their little boy, after having 2 girls, Lena and Paulette. As a young boy Paul excelled in all sports but especially took to basketball and tennis. After a state championship in high school basketball in Newport, Paul was given a full scholarship to play basketball for the first class of Oral Roberts University. Paul was the first person to score points for the ORU Titan Team. It was at ORU Paul met the love of his life, Nancy Peterson. The two married during their time at ORU, both graduating with Education Degrees. They celebrated 43 years of marriage this past June. After 8 years of teaching at Foster Junior High in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Paul was offered a painting position at ORU where he spent 35 years beautifying the ORU Campus. Paul and Nancy were blessed with three girls, Amy Calvert of Jenks, Oklahoma, Summer Corey of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Lindsey Goodsell of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Paul's girls were his life as well as his six grandchildren, Avery Calvert, Isabella Davila, Alex Davila, Sofia Davila, Anthony Corey and Alexis Goodsell. Paul's legacy lives on through his children and grandchildren. Paul accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior, showing the love of Jesus every day in his actions and his love for others. He always enjoyed making people laugh. Paul will never be forgotten, but is sadly missed by so many. Arrangements were entrusted to Daniel C.
