Patsy Marie Meyners

September 18, 1934 — October 23, 2017

Patsy Marie Meyners, 83, passed away in the early morning hours of Monday, October 23, 2017 at Saint Simeon's Senior Community. Patsy was born on September 18, 1934, in Eckert, Texas to Selma and Adolph Erfurt.

She married the love of her life, Alfred Lance Meyners on December 29, 1966 in Texas; they celebrated 50 years of marriage this past December. She was a clerk, for the Wonder Bread Thrift Store, for more than 20 years; you could always count on having fresh bread around the house. She was a wonderful cook and especially enjoyed cooking for their seven children over an open campfire, on their many camping trips to the lake.

Patsy and Lance loved to travel in their motor home, all over the United States, with their beloved Jack Russell Terrier, Summer. She was extremely fond of being out on the water, with a good book to read. She was quite the domino player and very competitive, often cheating to win the round. She will be remembered for always being ornery and outgoing, there was never a dull moment around Patsy. She had a selfless, sweet and loving personality. Her family will cherish their memories of their wife, mother, and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Ronald Royce Schilling and Steven Michael Schilling; and parents, Selma and Adolph Erfurt.

Survivors include her loving husband, Lance Meyners; children, Jeffrey Lynn Schilling, Cheryl Anne Schilling, Molly Jo Dunbar and husband, Anthony, Rusty Meyners and wife, Debra, Michael Meyners and wife, Letitia, Juli Lindemann and husband, Joe; grandchildren, Travis Schilling, Aaron Meyners, Kasi Jackson and Jordan Brady; numerous other relatives and friends. She will be greatly missed.

Patsy’s final wishes are being honored; she is giving back helping advance medical knowledge by being a whole body donor.
