Patricia Hurst

Patricia Rae Hurst passed away Saturday, December 13, 2014 at her residence in Tulsa. She was born October 29, 1945 in Huntington, Indiana to Fred and Arlena (Mickel) Abshire. Patricia graduated from Holland High School in Holland, Indiana in 1963. She married her husband Fred on Valentine's Day , February 14, 1992 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together, Patricia and Fred were very active in the Broken Arrow Elks Lodge #2673. They also gave great care to several foster children and were very involved in the shut-in ministries for seniors with several different churches in the area.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter Rhonda Hill; and her grandparents Ernest and Zelma Mickel. She is survived by her husband Fred; three children Reconda Armijo and her husband Ray, Ross Katter and his wife Tawnya, and Raquel Keeney and her husband Matt; her fourteen grandchildren Anastasia Hill, Ray Armijo Jr., Cody Hill, Amber Katter, Nathanael Armijo, Ross Katter Jr., Cassandra Armijo, Joel Armijo, Rawlston Morton, Cole Keeney, Kenneth Johnson, Sarah Johnson, Alex Keeney, and Alyssa Keeney; her sister Cheryl McIntosh and her children Heather and Stuart McIntosh; her aunt Tootsie Mickel; and many cousins and friends that cared for her deeply.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. Services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Friday in the Chapel at Schaudt-Teel. Interment will follow at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery.
